Murlo is situated in an ideal position, on hilltops varying from 300 to 500 metres. The wide open spaces of the Crete Senesi and the Val d'Orcia unfold to one side, and on the other the woods and scented Mediterranean vegetation of the Val di Merse stretch as far as the Maremma and the Metallifere hills.
Tranquillity and uncontaminated nature are the region's main features, together with its Etruscan and present-day history and culture.
Living in Murlo, even if only for a holiday, means living a human dimension, being in direct contact with nature, people, flavours and smells of the surroundings, rediscovering a pace of life long forgotten: sitting in a square, meandering along a river bed, walking in a wood, admiring Murlo bathed in red by the setting sun.
Its strategic position for getting to places of interest also makes it an ideallocation: Siena is a half an hour way, whether by car or public transport, Florence just over an hour, Montalcino and Pienza half an hour, and even the Mediterranean coast is little more than an hour away.
